NBCC (India) Ltd. has been awarded a ?75 crore contract to enhance the infrastructure at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Nagpur. The announcement was made by the company in a statement on Thursday.
This project is aimed at constructing and developing additional facilities at IIIT Nagpur, which is situated approximately 25 kilometers from the city. With an estimated cost of ?75 crore, this initiative represents a significant advancement in improving educational infrastructure at the institute.
Following the successful completion of Phase I, which included an Academic Block (G+5), an Admin Block (G+2), a Hostel Block (G+10), and a Residential Block (G+11), the institute is set to expand its facilities further.
Phase II will include the construction of an Academic Block B, along with necessary external development work and associated electrical and mechanical services. The project will also feature a canteen with the capacity to serve approximately 200 students, as well as a multi-purpose hall that can accommodate up to 1,000 students and guests. |
