Cam Pha Port and Logistics Company - Vinacomin held an inaugurating ceremony for the coal conveyor system from G9 warehouse to Chemical Port - Mong Duong. This project is to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam National Coal Corporation, now Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (October 10, 1994 - October 10, 2024).The coal conveyor system project from the G9 warehouse to Chemical Port - Mong Duong was started on April 25, 2024 and completed by the end of August 2024.
The conveyor line has a starting point at the TCT2 transfer tower (existing) and an ending point at the TCT1 coal receiving tower (new investment) at the coal warehouse at the Hoa Chat port. This is the first two-way conveyor line invested and installed in Vinacomin Group. The conveyor line has a belt width of 1,200 mm; the length of the line is more than 1,348 m. The transport capacity is 3 million tons of coal/year. Of which, 1.5 million tons of coal/year are transported in the outgoing direction and 1.5 million tons of coal/year are transported in the opposite direction.
After being put into operation, the coal conveyor line from the G9 warehouse to the Hoa Chat - Mong Duong Port will serve the transport of commercial coal from the G9 warehouse to the Hoa Chat - Mong Duong Port and the transport of mixed coal dust at the port to supply Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant.
