China’s Dajin Heavy Industries and Spanish floating wind expert BlueFloat Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to create a global floating wind supply chain. The agreement between BlueFloat Energy and Dajin focuses on technical innovation, supply chain enhancement, and decarbonization efforts. The two companies will work together to identify the most competitive floating foundation designs and explore new technologies. They will also improve fabrication and deployment processes for floating wind foundations as well as collaborate on sustainability practices, including reducing the carbon footprint of steel production and other aspects of our supply chain. BlueFloat Energy and Dajin stated that they hope to develop a strong and resilient supply chain, which will support the deployment of floating offshore wind projects on a global scale. “By combining Dajin’s experience in the fabrication and construction of steel structure products with BlueFloat Energy’s expertise in offshore wind development, we are poised to make significant strides in the industry,” Dajin said. |
