Work Detail |
The work links the town of Gobernador Udaondo with the main city of Cañuelas.
The municipal government reports that after efforts made by Mayor Marisa Fassi together with Governor Axel Kicillof and the Minister of Works of the Province, Gabriel Katopodis, last week the restart of the asphalt works on Camino del 72 that links the town of Gobernador Udaondo with the main city of Cañuelas was confirmed.
The mayor was accompanied by the Undersecretary of Delegations, Emmanuel Saiz, touring the site. Along with them were Mario Montenitolli and Eng. Ariel Barsi, representatives of Vialme SA, one of the companies in charge of carrying out the works.
Details of the work: With a length of 28.4 kilometers, the paving works extend from Route 3 to Provincial Route 215. The project also includes lighting at intersections, improving road safety and access during all hours of the day. In addition, as an integral part of the project, hydraulic sanitation works are planned throughout the area.
This is a project that Mayor Fassi managed in 2021 with the National Roads authorities, whose head was Gustavo Arrieta. It was included in the framework of the Road Infrastructure program for economic, productive and social development, in the module referring to Rural Roads, and its execution has external financing through the IDB loan 5378/AR.
Designed to be executed in four sections, the paving of Camino del 72 began in April 2023 and reached a progress of around 40%. It was “neutralized” after the assumption of the new National Government, the local municipality assured.
"This is a very important project for our neighbors in Udaondo because it will allow us to be more connected, and that has not only an impact on society, but also on the development of the area, on work, on production and surely also on tourism," said Marisa after the tour.
"It is a project that was managed and made possible with external financing, through the Inter-American Development Bank, so as we had been demanding, it made no sense for it to be stopped," added the head of the community.
This week they will begin work and it is expected to be completed by the end of this year. |
