At the offices of the Secretariat of Planning and Public Investment of the Municipality of Ushuaia, architect Belén Borgna headed the opening of bids for the public tender for the repaving of streets in different sectors of the city. Two valid bids were presented and the Evaluation Committee will be in charge of evaluating both proposals, prior to the award of the work.
This involves the repaving of various sectors, with a deadline of 60 calendar days, which includes sections of Magallanes Avenue and Vernet Street; Sector 2 with repaving in the central Piedrabuena, Don Bosco, Guaraní and Maipú streets; Sector 3 which includes other sections of Magallanes and Solis Street with a perimeter drain on its northern margin and Sector 4, with the repaving of sections of Héroes de Malvinas Avenue, Yaganes Street and the Polivalente roundabout.
Secretary of Planning and Public Investment Borgna explained that the works include milling of the rolling bed and repaving with a thickness of 7 cm in more than 13,600 square meters. In the sections indicated in the document, the removal of existing pavement, excavation and replacement of antifreeze base are established, prior to the placement of asphalt concrete. There will also be complementary works such as the placement of storm drains interconnected to manholes at some intersections.
“The economic offers enter the evaluation period and once the Commissions task is completed, if applicable, we will proceed with the award so that the works can begin,” concluded the Secretary, who was accompanied at the event by Undersecretary Irupé Petrina, the municipal staff and the interested companies. |
