Work Detail | Businesses and organizations seeking online training for their employees have a new option from the Arkansas Tech University College of eTech. Through a partnership with ed2go, the Arkansas Tech College of eTech has the capacity to offer hundreds of online, instructor-facilitated employee training courses. Subject areas for the continuing education courses include accounting and finance, business, college readiness, computer applications, graphic design, healthcare, language and arts, legal studies, personal development, teaching, technology and writing. “We are pleased to offer this catalog of courses,” said Dr. Hanna E. Norton, dean of the Arkansas Tech College of eTech. “These options provide convenient, affordable and accessible training in an environment that allows employees to study at their own pace. The ability to access the virtual classroom 24 hours per day, seven days per week from anywhere with an internet connection is a perfect fit for the busy professional who wants to enhance his or her skill set. Participating businesses benefit because their employees gain knowledge that is immediately applied on the job.” New sessions of each course begin every month. Courses last six weeks. Two new lessons are released on a weekly basis. Professional instructors facilitate every course by pacing learners, answering questions, providing feedback and moderating discussions. “An additional strength of this training model is that Arkansas Tech and ed2go host the operation in its entirety,” said Norton. “Participating businesses do not carry the burdens of purchasing, integrating, administering or supporting the technology.” For more information about ed2go training from the Arkansas Tech College of eTech, call (479) 356-2037 or visit online.atu.edu. |
