The President of the School Board was questioned in the Informative Morning about the latest developments in construction and other issues related to education.
María Eugenia Bravo said that they are working very well, “managing the resources sent by the Province, trying to be as fair and equitable as possible for all institutions. Last week we had a meeting with the Executive and they informed us of the approval of three projects that we had requested at the beginning of the year. In that sense, we have good news for the educational community of the District.”
One is the replacement of the roof for Secondary School No. 3 in Huanguelén, “with an approximate value of 57 million pesos and a deadline of 45 days. In this case, we already have the tender date for this month of September. In addition, in Kindergarten No. 901, the roof and the membrane will be changed, plastering and painting, with a deadline of approximately 30 days and for the moment no tender date has been set. These two works will be carried out with provincial funds. And finally, the long-awaited classroom and circulation area of ??School No. 20, which will be done with educational funds and with a value close to 83 million.”
Bravo said that these improvements were urgent for these establishments, “because each school has a need and these requests have been coming for a while. The School Board does not manage such large funds, so we absolutely needed the intervention of the Executive.”
Finally, María Eugenia Bravo confirmed that a new meeting with the Executive will take place next week, “bringing all the most significant requests from the institutions. In addition, we continue to manage and request the smaller works and various repairs that arise.” |
