Procurement News Notice

PNN 76988
Work Detail From October, this will be the responsibility of the National Environmental Licensing Authority (ANLA). Until now, the Regional Autonomous Corporations evaluated licenses for projects of 10 to 99 MW. Starting next October, Colombias National Environmental Licensing Authority (ANLA) will assume responsibility for renewable energy generation projects of 50 MW or more. This was stated by its director, Rodrigo Negrete, at the opening of the First ANLA International Congress 2024, in the Félix Restrepo Auditorium of the Javeriana University, in Bogotá. According to a statement, Decree 0852 of July 5 of this year modifies the powers of ANLA and the Regional Autonomous Corporations for the processing of environmental licenses for projects for the generation of Non-Conventional Renewable Energy Sources (FNCER) in the country. Until now, the Regional Autonomous Corporations evaluated licenses for projects of 10 to 99 MW, while the ANLA was in charge of projects of 100 MW or more. It is claimed that this new provision is "essential to prioritise renewable projects." The report adds that various associations have collaborated on the decree, including the National Association of Businessmen of Colombia (ANDI), the Colombian Association of Electric Energy Generators (ACOLGEN), the National Association of Generating Companies (ANDEG), the National Association of Public Services and Communications Companies (ANDESCO) and the Association of Renewable Energies SER Colombia.
