Work Detail |
The second stage of the construction of the Desvío Arijón aqueduct, which will carry drinking water from Angélica to San Vicente, in the Castellanos department and which will benefit more than 7,200 inhabitants of the town, has already been awarded a contract.
“We are working as a team with the Ministry of Economy to achieve this work that the residents of San Vicente and their mayor Gonzalo Aira have requested,” said the Minister of Public Works, Lisandro Enrico, and then stressed that “months ago, our governor Maximiliano Pullaro promised to execute the project and today he is keeping his word, taking a new step. This work will mark a before and after in the city, given that currently its water contains too much arsenic.”
The Temporary Union of Companies formed by Werk Constructora SRL, Del Sol Constructora SA and Rovial SA, will carry out the work that has a budget of $ 4,291,492,737 and is expected to be completed in 8 months. It should be noted that this important project is being carried out thanks to the optimization of the funds granted by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Fund for International Development, "this is another example of efficiency in the provincial State, where the Government expands the quantity and quality of services with the same resources, in this case generating an expansion of the original work for which the loan had been designated," said the Minister of Economy, Pablo Olivares.
For his part, Gonzalo Saglione, in charge of the Agency for Economic Cooperation and External Financing, said that “the fiscal responsibility that characterizes Santa Fe and our sustained work to strengthen the link with international credit organizations, allow us to access loans under favorable financial conditions, to use these resources in favor of projects as important as this aqueduct.”
Details of work
The construction of the 21.2 km main aqueduct extends from Pumping Station No. 5 located in the town of Angélica to the site where the San Vicente Distribution Center will be built. It will be suitable for transporting the project flow over a 30-year horizon.
