In addition to introducing the BYD Shark to the market, the first plug-in hybrid pick-up truck for agribusiness that has not yet arrived in Brazil, BYD Energia launched at Intersolar the new 610 W BYD bifacial photovoltaic module, which will soon be produced at the Campinas (SP) factory, focused on farms and solar power plants. Compact, lightweight, efficient and high-power, the panel optimizes the use of physical space for solar collection and reduces costs with fixed structures and trackers in ground-based photovoltaic plants. It therefore reduces the investment in plant construction and, consequently, the value of the energy generated.
The company also introduced the MC CUBE-T, which uses the new generation LFP battery for long-duration energy storage. It adopts the worlds first CTS (cell to system) integration technology, ensuring large capacity.
Chint Power: Hybrid and large-size inverters
Among the highlight products showcased at Intersolar 2024 by Chint Power were large-scale equipment including 333kW and 350kW inverters, multi-inverter zero-grid solutions, skids, and various BESS options. For smaller projects, Chint Power showcased the 37.5kW (220V) inverter and hybrid inverter with battery bank, available for single-phase or three-phase solutions. The company also showcased variable capacity battery solutions, optimized for different scenarios, capable of deciding between using stored energy or recharging the battery. Of particular note was the 5MWh battery container with 2.4MW PCS Skid, which features integrated liquid cooling technology, combining high energy, performance, and safety.
Enerzee: Trading options with zero investment for the client
The company specialising in the installation of photovoltaic systems and exclusive partner of WEG, with 3,000 projects delivered and more than 100 MW generated, presented its portfolio of commercial options to the market, highlighting Ezee Solar, a solution in which the client starts to generate renewable energy in their home or business with a reduction in monthly energy costs and a zero investment. In addition, at the end of the contract, the equipment becomes the clients.
Huawei: Utility and C&I batteries and ultra-fast charger
During the show, Huawei Digital Power announced the launch of the 4.5 MWh LUNA 2000 utility-grade battery, which features an intelligent storage system and pack- and rack-level optimizer, liquid cooling, two levels of active protection and four levels of passive protection, using AI for intelligent monitoring at cell, pack, rack, and container levels.
The LUNA 2000 215kWh C&I battery features a smart storage system, higher capacity and improved efficiency, liquid cooling, low harmonic distortion and automatic SOC (state of charge) calibration, as well as the SUN2000-150KTL inverter with active arc protection, higher efficiency, quick shutdown technology and temperature sensor on the connectors.
Huawei also introduced its Battery as a Service solution, in collaboration with Matrix Energia, which allows consumers to avoid having to invest or pay for the purchase of batteries and the installation of equipment.
For the electromobility segment, the company presented its ultra-fast charger for electric vehicles with a maximum capacity of 720 kW, three times more powerful than other chargers, capable of charging the equivalent of 200 kilometers in five minutes.
HDT: platform that generates credit for Huawei products
HDT has announced a platform that connects remote power generators, PV kit distributors and integrators, generating benefits such as cash credit directly to integrators, who can use it to purchase Huawei equipment. Distributor BelEnergy and Órigo Energia, a power-sharing generator, also announced that they had joined the model during a ceremony at the company’s booth. During the event, HDT also celebrated two of the company’s largest commercial transactions in the country. In the first quarter of 2024, BelEnergy purchased more than 85,000 Huawei residential inverters, ranging from 3 kW to 10 kW each, equivalent to more than 500 megawatts (MW) in total. This makes it the largest purchase of residential inverters by a single distributor in history. Órigo Energia recently signed an agreement to purchase 350 MW of high-power Huawei inverters for distributed generation plants, and this volume is expected to increase by the end of this year. This was also the largest sale recorded in the project segment.
The platform allows integrators connected to BelEnergy to have a complementary option to their operations in the market, opening up new business opportunities. By joining the platform, through the Origo shared energy generation, they will receive cash credits to use in future sales of Huawei equipment.
Intelbras: off-grid and agribusiness
Visitors to Intersolar 2024 had the opportunity to see the new water pumping system presented by Intelbras at its stand. Developed for the off-grid segment – ??without connection to the electrical grid – the solution is focused on agribusiness. However, its application is not limited to the countryside, but is also suitable for urban scenarios, where it can be used in cisterns.
The kit comes complete with solar panels, MPPT charge controller and pump, offering the user the advantage of purchasing all components from a single manufacturer, reducing the risk of sizing errors, avoiding performance issues and simplifying support and maintenance.
The company also presented new models of single-phase and three-phase On Grid inverters, developed to meet current demands, offering flexibility for projects of various sizes and complexities. The new models also feature important protection grades, such as IP65 and IP66, which guarantee resistance to water and dust. For internal components, protection is reinforced with class C5 against corrosion, ideal for environments with sea air and industrial areas.
To boost the expansion of electric mobility infrastructure in Brazil, Intelbras has also launched a new 30 kW vehicle charger, equipped with comprehensive management software, as well as direct current charging. The novelty encourages new business and is ideal for improving the infrastructure of public environments, supermarkets, restaurants, shopping malls and other strategic locations. With models ranging from the 3 kW mini portable charger to the 22 kW Business charger, Intelbras is able to meet the different needs of users.
