THDC India announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with the Maharashtra government to develop six pumped hydro power storage projects (PSPs) with a total capacity of 6,790 MW. The projects will involve an investment of over ?33,600 crore. The agreement will enable THDC to carry out surveys, investigations, and prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the projects, ensuring their timely execution in line with the rules, policies, and schemes of both the central and state governments. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the Department of Water Resources, Government of Maharashtra, to harness Pumped Storage Energy through these six PSPs, aiming to enhance the states renewable energy capacity. |
