According to Carreras, the new building will incorporate in its architecture an aesthetic-energetic design typical of the Río Negro steppe and in keeping with a tourist city.
With a total surface area of ??3,744.52 m2 to be executed, the number of bays will be doubled, bringing them to 24. In this case, special attention was taken to creating accesses that would allow the entry and exit of buses and vehicles in general, without having to cross hands.
The new design also took into account the number of passengers who circulate annually and the use of the spaces they make. In this sense, 6 waiting rooms were arranged independent of the terminal route, in order to separate the passengers who are waiting from those who are buying tickets or are arriving.
There will be space inside the terminal for the installation of 30 ticket offices, doubling the number currently in operation. The premises currently occupied by the municipal traffic department will be maintained and a first aid room will be added.
As regards the buildings energy proposal, the new terminal will have the particularity of not having exterior walls. The roof will have an enormous natural covering, giving it significant thermal insulation that will result in energy savings. The deck roof of the docks was designed with the same criteria, being prepared to receive photovoltaic and thermal panels.
From the aesthetic point of view, the shape of the building took into account the geography of the place: the Patagonian steppe, from the very beginning of the project.
The intention was to achieve a balance between a low impact, adapted to the geography and future maintenance problems, with a sufficiently developed image so that people think of the building as characteristic and identifiable.
The work has an official budget of $1,341,817,217 and the execution period is 780 days. |
