The 3rd EESA Energy Storage Expo kicked off at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center on September 2. As a professional exhibition for China’s energy storage industry, the event attracted numerous leading companies from the energy storage supply chain. SOFAR Solar, a global leader in comprehensive solar and energy storage solutions, showcased its full range of energy storage solutions for residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and utility-scale applications at booth 21C15 in Hall 2.1H, drawing significant attention and generating excitement among attendees.
On the day before the exhibition, Yu Feng, Executive Vice President of SOFAR Solar and President of the Centralized Energy Storage Business Unit, was invited to attend the 11th China International Solar-Plus-Energy Storage and Charging Conference. The conference featured in-depth analysis and discussions on the latest policies, projects, and technologies in the energy storage industry. Addressing the opportunities and challenges in the C&I energy storage sector, Yu Feng stated that while competition is fierce and new developments are constantly emerging, the decreasing cost per kWh due to technological advancements presents more opportunities and possibilities for the growth of C&I energy storage.
At the EESA Star Awards Gala on the same day, SOFAR Solar’s PowerMagic C&I energy storage system was honored with the “Best C&I Energy Storage Solution Award 2024.” This accolade, following the “Red Dot Award 2024,” highlights SOFAR’s efforts and achievements in product innovation for its C&I energy storage system.
PowerMagic, one of the few C&I energy storage systems on the market that utilizes AC- coupling technology, boasts four major advantages: lower LCOS, high efficiency and flexibility, utmost safety, and intelligent management. The system comprises on/off-grid cabinets, confluence boost cabinets, energy storage cabinets, and battery cabinets. It can serve as an emergency power supply and enable efficient peak-valley arbitrage, accelerating the green energy transition and the digitalization of renewable energy equipment.
In addition to the PowerMagic C&I energy storage system, SOFAR’s PowerMaster centralized energy storage solution also garnered significant attention at the exhibition. PowerMaster is compatible with large battery cells, offers high energy density, and can be expanded to 3.93 MWh per container. It supports 40-foot assembly solutions, reducing land occupation by over 30%. The system features a modular design, minimalist maintenance, and automatic coordination control, ensuring full-power operation of the PCS. Moreover, PowerMaster has a 3+2 safety system, supporting gas fire suppression at both the cell and container levels, as well as water fire suppression. It also includes combustible gas discharge and explosion-proof designs, fully protecting user safety.
While catering to the needs of “large” scenarios, SOFAR’s PowerAll residential energy storage system perfectly aligns with the requirements of “small” residential solar-plus- storage scenarios. Driven by efficient power conversion, advanced energy management, and leading battery management technologies, PowerAll continuously optimizes user experiences. Building upon its advantages of simplicity, safety, flexibility, and intelligence, it constantly improves stability in solar-plus-storage and charging scenarios, creating a high-quality, one-stop solution for residential applications. From “small” to “large,” from “energy storage manufacturing” to “intelligent energy storage,” SOFAR Solar continues to delve into the digitalization and intellectualization of energy storage. With a persistent focus on R&D of solar-plus-storage products and the delivery of comprehensive solutions, SOFAR Solar leverages technological innovation and breakthroughs to drive the high-quality development of the industry. The company remains committed to promoting solar-plus-storage integration as a crucial pillar for global green economic growth, facilitating the transformation of the global energy structure and sustainable development. |
