The Minister of Public Works, Lisandro Enrico, announced that the call for tenders has been published to carry out the expansion and renovation work on the Helvecia Hospital, in the Garay department. The work consists of the reformulation of the hospitals spaces and functions, and the expansion of the building, in order to achieve a new hospital with different sectors for health care. The intervention covers an area of ??2,289.85 m².
“The opening of the economic offers will take place on Tuesday, September 10, starting at 12 noon, at the Helvecia Hospital itself. The official budget is $3,998,705,922, but at March values, so it will tend to be exceeded. Its execution period is stipulated in 420 calendar days,” added the head of the Works portfolio.
In this regard, Enrico explained that this was a project that had been on hold since the previous administration: “There were several problems with the construction company and the contract was cancelled, so we are going to put out to tender the completion and the new expansion of the project with a budget estimated to be around 4,000 million pesos. We understand the need to strengthen the health infrastructure, we are doing so in different hospitals in the province. In particular, in this town, we are talking about a project that we will carry out together with the communal president, María Victoria Weiss Ackerley, who from the first month of our administration has been insistently mobilized so that the project is not abandoned and can be resumed. She conveyed to us in depth the importance that this project has for the town.”
“Governor Maximiliano Pullaro is convinced that in the midst of this complex context, a State is needed that is present, providing answers. We believe that public works are a policy that equalizes, improves the quality of life, and above all, generates jobs. So we are building a program of strategic works, which the government of Santa Fe will carry out in the big cities and in the small towns. Many of these works in this department are worked on alongside Senator Germán Baumgartner, who is carrying out different actions so that they can be executed,” added the minister.
For his part, the Secretary of Public Works, Marcelo Pascualón, explained: “The main works consist of the expansion and conditioning of the X-ray room, admission, radio, sterilization, administration, accounting, statistics, vaccination, gynecology, Iapos, a new public sanitary module and a prominent space for the entrance hall.”
“Furthermore, the finishing touches to the new emergency room are planned, which includes a shock room, an observation room for three beds, an infirmary, consulting rooms, a waiting room, toilets and a covered space for ambulance access. Outside, the public space will be fitted out with urban equipment such as benches, baskets, lighting and general landscaping,” he concluded.
Service area
For the service area, there will be a machine room, morgue, storage room, laundry room and kitchen, with dependencies and toilets, next to a switchboard room and cryogenic tank storage room, and communication galleries with the Hospital. The area is completed with a service vehicle entrance to attend to these functions, with an entrance gate and maneuvering area.
