The Administrative Commission for the Special Fund of Salto Grande (Cafesg) will carry out the works of patching, repair of joints and shoulders of the former provincial route Nº 26.

The opening of the bids will take place on Tuesday, September 10 in Colón and the objective is to complete the tasks before the beginning of the summer season.
The call text states that "public tender No. 1/2024 must be called to carry out the work Repair of joints, patching and shaping of shoulders on the former provincial route No. 26 San José, Colón department, Entre Ríos province, in accordance with the conditions detailed in the specifications approved by the Cafesg Board of Directors."
The bill states that the opening of bids will be at 10 a.m. on the date indicated. In this regard, the first member of the Cafesg, Pablo Canali, stressed that the work is "emergency" and characterized the route as "key for the transportation of the areas productions, with a large flow of traffic due to the exchange of workers and the social life of both localities."
He recalled that the last intervention carried out on this route was in 1997 and said that it is currently "totally destroyed and has some really dangerous places."
As for the tasks -which have a budget of 211 million pesos-, he specified that they will include the section that connects the exit from San José to the bridge over the Artalaz stream, at the entrance to Colón. The official also indicated that Cafesg will be the driving force "for a question of resources and speed."
"The Provincial Highway Department has a great demand for works in different parts of the province. The governor asked us if we could take it on, the Cafesg has jurisdiction and has the resources, so it is undertaking the work to relieve the pressure on the Provincial Highway Department a little," Canali said in conclusion.
