Work Detail |
The provincial government is seeking to reconstruct part of the Roggero Dam, located in Moreno, and restore 11 culverts on Camino del Buen Ayre. Details.
The idea is to improve the operation and comprehensive functioning of both structures to facilitate the evacuation and regulation of liquid surpluses and, in this way, avoid flooding, with direct benefits for the entire population included within the Reconquista River basin.
On the dam side, the "readaptation of both the bottom dischargers and the crest and the dissipation basin, the installation of centers for control and monitoring and the improvement of the riverside paths and lighting with metal columns of LED lighting and underground power supply" will be carried out.
Meanwhile, the sewer system placed on the highway, located between the Belgrano Norte and Urquiza Cargas roads, "has been the victim of theft, looting and destruction of parts or all of its components, making it necessary to recondition it," according to the tender documentation to which this media had access.
The initial budget for the works is more than one billion pesos ($1,698,947,360, to be exact) and the date of opening of the submitted bids is set for next Wednesday, April 12, while the stipulated duration is 548 calendar days, that is, about a year and a half. In addition to Moreno, the municipalities that would be affected by the work are Ituzaingó, Merlo, Hurlingham, Tres de Febrero and San Martín, whose population surrounding the river is generally affected by the floods and pollution of the river.
