In the municipal White Hall, Aguas Santafesinas, together with the municipality of Esperanza, carried out the opening of the envelopes with the offers corresponding to the works to increase the treatment capacity and recover the full operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant of the city of Esperanza and the rental of equipment for this purpose.
The event was chaired by the municipal mayor, Rodrigo Müller, accompanied by members of his cabinet and city councilors.
Aguas, for its part, was headed by the president of the board, Anahí Rodríguez, accompanied by the vice president, Alfredo Menna, and Darío Boscarol, a member of the board. In addition, there was participation from company managers and the provincial deputy, Jimena Senn.
At the event, the president of Aguas, Anahí Rodríguez, indicated that “from the moment we took over the management of the company, the mayor of the city expressed his concern and interest in water and sanitation. Since then, we began to work as a team to begin to respond to the daily problems that the city faces, with large projects such as todays, which aims to increase the treatment capacity at the citys sewage treatment plant.”
For his part, Darío Boscarol highlighted “this is the first step towards the ultimate goal of doubling the number of treatment lagoons that currently exist in the city of Esperanza to expand the treatment capacity and continue with the plan to extend the sewage networks to reach 100% of sewage for the city.”
Finally, Alfredo Menna announced, “We are working to increase the supply of drinking water. Today, we already have the Desvío Arijón aqueduct supplying water to the city of Rafaela. This will allow Esperanza to have more supply wells for the citys consumption and to be able to optimize the service.”
The works at the wastewater treatment plant
The planned works at the treatment plant, which have an official budget of $506,784,649.12 and a five-month execution period, will improve environmental conditions for the entire Esperanza community.
The works to be carried out include the demolition of existing manhole covers and screens in facultative lagoon 1 (North) and old pipes.
The installation of pipes, manholes and a splitter chamber will also be carried out to transport sewage to the entrance and exit of all treatment lagoons.
In addition, it includes the execution of two new sewage inlets and outlets in facultative lagoon 1 North, achieving a similarity with facultative lagoon 2 South.
Finally, weed clearing and profiling of the slopes of both facultative ponds will be carried out and the perimeter fence will be built on the property.

Equipment rental
At the same time, another public tender was opened for the rental of a truck with a dump box and a 14-ton crawler excavator (two independent and simultaneous trucks of up to eight hundred (800) hours in total). For this tender, the official budget was $49,070,000.00.
