When will construction of housing in Corrientes resume?
The complex of buildings belongs to the national program “Casa Propia” (Home Owned Property), it was announced in recent days and has an investment of 22,000 million pesos.
In recent days, the provincial government announced the resumption of construction work on the 779 homes in Corrientes. After the signing of the agreement by Governor Gustavo Valdés with 39 municipalities, it was announced that work would begin on the complex of buildings that belong to the national “Casa Propia” program, with an investment of 22 billion pesos. The start of construction will be in September, according to Lizardo Gónzalez, inspector of the Corrientes Housing Institute (Invico).
The housing complex in Corrientes will resume its works and the 799 houses will be built again after a long period of paralysis. The works were in charge of the Nation and now with the signing of the agreement by Governor Valdés, they are now in charge of the province.
“The important thing is to get back to work as soon as possible. We are going to start in September. The idea is to finish 450 houses in the next four months and the others in the following year,” Lizardo Gónzalez, the Invico supervisor, told Radio Sudamericana.
I had previously mentioned that: “The Governors decision to assume the financial commitment to complete these homes is crucial not only to improve the quality of life of Corrientes families, but also to reactivate the local economy and generate employment.”
Therefore, the works could begin within two weeks to advance as soon as possible and be completed in 2025. This will require, in turn, more than 2,000 workers, with a reactivation of the construction sector in Corrientes.
In the city of Corrientes, the housing complex is located in Santa Catalina, while in the cities of the interior, there are Goya, La Cruz, Mercedes, Curuzú Cuatiá and another 34 localities. These houses will have all the services of drinking water, electricity, sewage and lighting.
