3M Paper Boards, a leading manufacturer of recycled paper-based products, is set to increase its production capacity by 25% over the next two years. This expansion, aimed at meeting the growing demand for its products both domestically and internationally, will be funded through internal accruals. The company, which currently operates at an annual capacity of 72,000 tonnes, is also considering establishing a new plant closer to key markets. Managing Director Rushabh H. Shah highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability, with products made from 100% recycled wastepaper. The Mumbai-based firm recently raised ?40 crore through a public issue, with plans to allocate ?14 crore for factory expansion, ?10 crore for working capital, and ?7 crore for debt repayment. The company’s Chiplun facility in Maharashtra, spanning 30 acres, includes a 4-MW captive power plant and serves a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods, with exports to over 15 countries. |
