Contract for equipment to install 15MW+ offshore turbines and related works
EDF Renewables has issued a tender for a long term framework agreement for heavy lift capacities to transport and install offshore wind turbines.
The contract is to deploy heavy lifting equipment capable of installing a 15MW turbine or more.
The successful candidate will also perform additional works related to offshore wind under the terms of the contract.
The framework agreement would be for around 5 years with a potential start date between 2029 and 2030.
The contract also includes optional scope related to engineering, management and asset operation.
According to the tender documents, the successful candidate shall present the existing fleet, fleet in construction, under discussion and subject to decision of investment expected to arrive on the market before 2032, as well as plan for crane upgrade or leg extension or any major modification that could allow to increase the capacity of installation capabilities.
The tender winner should detail in a schedule which maximum size of turbine that the intended fleet should be capable of installing, as well as the logbook of each vessel identified.
The winning company should also detail its experience (past & future) in foundation installation over the 2020-2028 period and involving JUV >1600t crane. |
