The U.S. Department of State and Allotrope Partners will review proposals to meet the demand of the U.S. Embassy in Brasilia and the Consulates General in Recife, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, which total 7.8 GWh/year.
The U.S. Government, the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Brazil, and Allotrope Partners are requesting that qualified electricity providers in Brazil formally submit expressions of interest to participate in a Request for Proposal (RFP) to supply 100% Carbon Pollution-Free (CFE) electricity, including renewable and nuclear sources, to four sites in Brazil.
The U.S. Embassy in Brasilia and the U.S. Consulates General in Recife, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo are seeking bids that supply 100% of their energy demand from zero-emission sources at a rate at or below their current rates. The estimated demand for all positions is 7.8 GWh/year, with an estimated monthly average of 239,500 kWh in Brasilia, 31,400 kWh in Recife, 183,300 kWh in Rio de Janeiro, and 200,300 kWh in São Paulo.
Those interested in participating in the RFI and subsequent RFPs should complete and submit an expression of interest form . Information provided in response to this RFI and subsequent RFPs will be treated as confidential for use by the U.S. Department of State and Allotrope Partners in evaluating bidders and proposals.
