Work Detail |
The reconstruction of the pavement will be carried out along its 52 blocks between Remedios de Escalada de San Martín Avenue and Hornos.
The Urban Development Secretariat of the Municipality of Lanús began the restoration of San Martín Avenue with the aim of improving vehicular traffic on this road that links the districts of Lomas de Zamora and Avellaneda with Puente Alsina through Remedios de Escalada Avenue.
The investment made by the Secretariat of Urban Development will be $83,244,408 pesos and will include the installation of 270 LED lights along the 52 blocks that make up this artery, as well as the use of simple concrete to speed up the passage of heavy traffic.
The work includes the construction of a new storm drain (between Hornos and Don Orione) with the aim of alleviating the runoff of surface waters that flow towards the drains located in Lomas de Zamora. These works will allow storm water to flow into the Olazábal Basin.
In addition, existing pipes will be cleaned, and drains and inspection chambers will be rebuilt to improve collection and drainage after rains.
In addition, ramps for the disabled will be installed at intersections, horizontal signage will be marked for bicycle lane areas and sidewalks will be rebuilt, among other complementary tasks.
