RIBBON-CUTTINGS AND OTHER CELEBRATIONS The United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development in collaboration with the Perry County Economic Development Authority, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 12 celebrating the opening of the Perry Business and Tourism Center at 9 W. Main St. in New Bloomfield. The USDA provided the Perry County EDA with a $50,000 Rural Business Development Grant to establish a county-wide tourism initiative to benefit the businesses of Perry County. This project includes the creation of a county visitors' center and related promotional activities. On August 11, Viscul Creative in Carroll Twp. celebrated its new location on Tristan Drive with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony with the West Shore Chamber of Commerce. Viscul Creative provides brand identity and strategy, print design, and web design services. The City of York and Downtown Inc. held a ribbon-cutting on Sept. 2 for Pastries of France at 24 S. George St. After extensive renovations, Pastries of France is open. Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday and 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The city of York and Downtown Inc. held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 23 for Rockfish Public House, a seafood restaurant at 110 N. George St. in York. The restaurant's focus is to feature premium seafood primarily from the Atlantic Coast and Gulf of Mexico that is wild caught, sustainably harvested and/or farmed in a manner which is good for the environment. They also have an entertainment stage. Hours: 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday. Information: www.rockfishpublichouse.com. On August 27, York Country Day School, an independent pre-K-12 school held a ribbon-cutting and dedication of its 44,000-square-foot STEAM center (STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics). The center houses a robotics lab, video production facilities, a sound design center, metal and wood shops, and more. York County-based Kinsley Construction began construction in May of 2015 and served as the construction manager for the project. LSC Design served as the architect. The project also includes a renovation of the middle school at York Country Day and is the first major work on the building since the early 90s. An upgrade to the lower and upper school areas will follow. Sound Community Solutions, a training and reentry service organization has moved to Governors Plaza South, 2001 North Front Street, Building No. 1, Suite 110 in Harrisburg. A ribbon-cutting ceremony, in conjunction with the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC was held on August 19. Information: www.scsinc.org On August 9, the Dauphin County Democratic Committee held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening of the party's first permanent headquarters in Dauphin County at 4811 Jonestown Road, Suite 233 in Lower Paxton Township. F2 Photography has moved to Greencastle at 12 W. Baltimore St., Greencastle. Lexi Oliver Fretz started her business in 2008 and has had studios in residential locations in the Waynesboro area. Fretz's specialty is newborn photography. The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting at the studio on August 5. Information: www.f2photographystudio.com. Lebanon Valley Cold Storage held a groundbreaking ceremony on August 11 at the location of its future facility in the Lebanon Rails Business Park. The facility will be constructed on a 22.83-acre site on Hanford Drive in North Lebanon Township. Carlisle Thai Cuisine held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting on August 15 at 141 W. High St., Carlisle. REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS Sarita Nagpal and Nischal Nagpal purchased a 3,008-square-foot commercial building located at 991 Belaire Lane in York. Rock Commercial Realty represented the seller. White Deer Run LLC purchased a 17,144-square-foot former personal care facility located at 1600 Mount Zion Road, Springettsbury Township. Rock Commercial Realty represented the seller in the transaction. William Properties LLC purchased a 11,497-square-foot commercial facility located at 3223 Alta Vista Road in Dover Township. Rock Commercial Realty represented the seller in the transaction. Wolfgang Facilities LLC purchased a 56,600-square-foot industrial building at 122 N. Street in Loganville, York County. Rock Commercial Realty represented the seller and the buyer in the transaction. Triton Exhibits leased 10,000-square-feet of industrial space at 125 South Adams Street, West York. Rock Commercial Realty represented the landlord and the tenant in the transaction. Blinc Group LLC leased 4,088-square-feet of industrial space at 1300 Zinns Quarry Road in West Manchester Township. Rock Commercial Realty represented the landlord and the tenant in the transaction. Wesley Garvick leased 1,124-square-feet of retail space at 122 E. King St. in York. Rock Commercial Realty represented the landlord and the tenant in the transaction. Koco Inc. leased 2,310-square-feet of office space at 100-110 S. Queen St. in York.
