Work Detail | Minister for law, justice and information technology, Ravi Shankar Prasad said the ministry has forayed into the booming business process outsourcing (BPO) space and will set up a 1,000-seat facility in collaboration with multinational IT company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Varanasi soon. In an interaction with reporters, following the inauguration of Common Services Centre (CSC) Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) conference on Wednesday, he said, "The TCS has given its nod and we would collaborate with it to set up a BPO here in the city soon." He said that he would write to chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to increase the profit amount in government to citizen services (G2C) from Rs. 2 to Rs. 15. In reply to a question pertaining to Hurriyat Conference and unrest in Jammu and Kashmir, Prasad said, "Home minister Rajnath Singh has said that they are ready to talk to anyone to ensure maintenance of peace and harmony in Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and it would remain that way. " On being asked about simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections, he said that Election Commission has been taking a pro-active interest and working to establish a consensus. Prasad said that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi should do his homework properly and open his eyes to see the several work done by BJP-led NDA government. |
