With a provincial investment of 1,000 million pesos, the works will allow a substantial improvement in the urban infrastructure. The project includes the construction of drainage systems and the replacement of sidewalk curbs.
The renovation works on Libertador San Martín Avenue in the city of Alta Gracia are underway, which will significantly improve the urban infrastructure. The road project is being carried out on a 1,700-meter stretch, with an investment of 1,000 million pesos.
It includes the replacement of pavement and sidewalks on a surface of 7,000 square meters, along with complementary storm drainage works, on one of the busiest streets in the City of Tajamar.
Apart from the enhancement of the public road, the initiative will provide a safer and more functional infrastructure for pedestrians and vehicles. In addition, the adaptation of the storm drain system will be essential to prevent flooding and drainage problems during heavy rains.
The work is 18% complete and is concentrated in two sectors.
In the downtown area, the section between Alvear and Cuyo streets is being worked on, where pavements and curbs are being replaced, drains are being restored, new drains are being built and concrete drainage pipes are being installed. In addition, the trapezoidal chamber on the corner of Falucho is being reconditioned.
The other sector of the work extends from Bahía Blanca to Cirilo Allende streets, where pavement and curb replacement is also being carried out.
The works aim to have a positive impact on local development and also contribute to the improvement of stormwater drainage systems, contributing to sustainable water management and reducing the environmental impact of flooding due to intense weather events and urban runoff.
