The Province has agreed with the municipalities of the Valley to continue with their own financing the works that were halted. Animana hopes to reactivate its works soon.
Following the decision taken by the Nation to halt public works, most of the works in the interior of the province were paralyzed.
In this regard, the mayor of Animaná, José Rolando “Tata” Guaimás informed Nuevo Diario that the Province will finance and continue the works that are paralyzed.
“The truth is that the works were paralyzed during these 6-7 months. We met with the governor and we had the decision from him to continue those works. Many agreements that we had with the Nation fell through, so a new agreement was made through the Province to be able to finish those works,” said Guaimás.
The mayor also indicated that in Animaná there are 20 houses from the Provincial Housing Institute (IPV) that are paralyzed and that due to the new agreement signed with the Province they can be reactivated to give them continuity.
In addition, the drinking water works of the National Water and Sanitation Works Agency (ENOHSA) will be financed in the same way. It should be noted that the aforementioned work was 90% complete and only 10% was left to finish.
"We have already terminated the contract with ENOHSA, they were already almost 90% complete, there is only 10 left. Everything was left in the agreement since the new president came in, but we will be finishing them through the Province," he said.
It was also reported that the works on the refrigerator of the municipal slaughterhouse of San Carlos will be reactivated with provincial funds. |
