Quang Ninh province, The Deputy General Director of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Cooperation (Vinacomin), Director of the Coal Production Operations Center in Quang Ninh Vu Anh Tuan chaired a conference to evaluate the coal production and selling situation in June and implementing coal production and selling plan in July 2024.
In June 2024, coal production and selling units implemented their tasks in the context of many difficulties such as Heavy rainy weather disrupting the production of some open-cast mining units; coal purchasing power in electricity households decreased; two large open-pit mining units (Coc Sau and Deo Nai) had to stop production to merge the two companies.
However, with the initiative in management, as with high efforts and high determination, the units have implemented the main basic targets closely following the assigned plans, responding well to the weather conditions as in case of long rainy weather, proactively preparing enough stocks to serve coal selling and ensuring coal reserve at an appropriate level.
The results in June 2024: The raw coal output reached over 3.1 million tons, with 15/19 units meeting and exceeding the plans with selling over 4.2 million tons, especially coal for electricity production in June reached over 3.7 million tons.
Indicators such as raw coal, stripped land, clean coal and clean coal from non-coal products, coal delivered to processing plants, and coal sold in the first 6 months of the year all reached over 52% of the year plan; The coal output for electricity production reached over 23.4 million tons, equal to 55% of the years plan; the coal mixed with imported coal reached over 53% of the years plan. Thereby, Vinacomin has proactively been able to use coal for mixing and processing to meet enough coal for customers, especially for electricity households.
To ensure the completion of the planned targets for July as well as the third quarter of 2024, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan directed: In the face of adverse weather conditions, especially in July with a forecast of a lot of rains, so the units to strengthen measures to respond to storms in natural disaster prevention, ensure safety for people and equipment, take advantage of favorable weather days, and promote maximum production; consolidate basic technical indicators; strictly control safety work, ensuring new production safety; tighten the work of ensuring security and order, protecting resources, mine boundaries, assets, supplies, and fuels; The downstream units to focus on strengthening warehousing and loading capacity; continue to improve coal quality, to protect of Vinacomin reputation and brand for customers; Strengthen management for saving costs and improving production and business efficiency. |
