Work Detail Waaree Energies Secures 900 MW Solar Module Supply Deal With Serentica Renewables For Rajasthan Project Waaree Energies has secured a contract with Serentica Renewables to supply 900 MW of Top-Con bifacial modules for a solar project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan. Deliveries will occur from August 2024 to February 2025. This significant project will enhance renewable energy capacity and reduce carbon emissions. Waaree, boasting a 12 GW installed capacity, will manage manufacturing, testing, and transport, reinforcing its commitment to excellence and innovation in renewable energy. Karnataka Plans New Solar Park In Madhugiri To Boost Renewable Energy And Farmer Participation The Energy Department plans to establish a solar park in Madhugiri, Tumakuru, similar to Pavagada’s, to boost renewable energy production in Karnataka. Energy Minister K J George announced this initiative, emphasizing its role in achieving energy security and environmental sustainability. Madhugiri MLA K N Rajanna will assist in selecting suitable land, with approximately four to five acres needed per megawatt. The park aims for 500 MW. Additionally, George encouraged farmers to join the PM-KUSUM scheme during a project review in Tumakuru. Navitas And Hysolwin To Develop 35 MW Solar Park In Solapur, Maharashtra Navitas Planet Pvt. Ltd. and Hysolwin Green Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. have signed an MoU to develop a 35 MW solar park in Solapur, Maharashtra, expected to produce 56 million units of clean energy annually. This project will help reduce carbon emissions, create jobs, and boost the local economy. The partnership aims to lower renewable energy costs and enhance efficiency with advanced tracking technology, targeting a 25 MW solar park within five months and expanding to 500 MW in Maharashtra by FY2026. SECI Invites Bids For 400 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Projects To Boost Renewable Energy Capacity In India SECI has issued an RfS for 400 MW wind-solar hybrid projects under Tranche-IX, inviting developers on a BOO basis. The initiative aims to enhance renewable energy capacity, aligning with India’s sustainability goals. Bids must be submitted by 31st July 2024, with projects to be completed in 24 months. SECI will procure power under a 25-year PPA, emphasizing compliance with RfS terms. The effort aims to integrate renewables into the grid, supporting India’s low-carbon future. DhaSh PV Technologies’ ?346.35 Crore Mega Project In Tumkur To Produce 50GW Of Solar PV Junction Boxes Annually DhaSh PV Technologies launches a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Sira, Tumkur, valued at INR 346.35 crore. This facility will produce 50GW of solar PV junction boxes annually, 1000 km of solar cables daily, and indigenous diodes, aiming to boost India’s renewable energy sector. The project is set to create over 2,500 jobs, promoting local economic growth and advancing India’s position as a global solar energy leader. SJVN Green Energy Announces Tender For Land Acquisition In Punjab For Setting Up Solar Power 200 MW Projects SJVN Green Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has issued an online open tender under a single-stage, two-part bid system. This tender invite offers for the outright purchase or 28-year lease of up to 800 acres of land in Punjab. The land, which will be used for setting up solar power projects with a capacity of up to 200 MW, must include all requisite statutory clearances, chain link fencing around the periphery, and connectivity with the State Transmission Utility (STU). IREDA Drives Renewable Energy Growth With ?9,136 Crore Loan Surge In Q1 FY25 IREDA reported a substantial increase in sanctioned loans, reaching ?9,136 crore for Q1 FY25, a notable growth from the previous year. Loan disbursements rose by 67.61% to ?5,320 crore compared to ?3,174 crore in the same quarter last year. As of June 30, 2024, IREDA’s total outstanding loan book stood at ?63,150 crore, up 33.77% from the FY24 Q1 figure of ?47,207 crore. Odisha SWC Approves ?903.41 Crore For Over 102 MW Of Green Energy Projects Odisha’s Single Window Committee approved investments worth ?903.41 crores for transformative green energy projects, including 48 MW and 49.5 MW wind energy projects by HPCL Renewable & Green Energy and ONGC Tripura Power. Solar initiatives include projects by Visaka Industries, ITC, AMP Energy, and Odisha Television totaling 4.92 MW. These projects advance Odisha towards its 10 GW renewable energy target by 2030, supported by GRIDCO and the Energy Department.
