Minister of Energy Transition Leila Benali and Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar signed two cooperation agreements on Thursday, covering energy, earth sciences, and mining sectors. The agreements encompass topics such as renewable energies, green hydrogen, energy efficiency, and collaboration in mining and earth sciences, including geological mapping, remote sensing, databases, and geographic information systems (GIS).
These agreements establish a framework to enhance public-private partnerships, research and development, technical assistance, innovation agency cooperation, research organization collaboration, technical visits, workshops, and seminars.
The Turkish minister highlighted abundant opportunities for energy and mining cooperation between the two countries, underscoring the historical and economic ties between Rabat and Ankara. Benali emphasized that the meeting addressed mutual concerns, development potentials, and shared objectives in fields like renewable energy, minerals, and natural gas.
Bayraktar’s visit to Morocco is part of ongoing consultations and coordination to bolster bilateral relations across various sectors, exploring new avenues for cooperation and mutual investment. |
