The project promoted by the government of Maximiliano Pullaro will bring drinking water to the urban area of ??the town, benefiting more than 1,000 residents. 12 economic offers were submitted for the tendering of the works.
The Ministry of Public Works has opened bids to build the drinking water distribution network for the town of Empalme San Carlos, in the Las Colonias department.
The event was headed by the Minister of Public Works, Lisandro Enrico, accompanied by the communal president of Empalme, Hugo Heinzen; the Secretary of Water and Sanitation, Leonel Marmiroli; the Undersecretary of Water and Sanitation, Vilma Olivieri, and the Provincial Director of Water and Sanitation, Abel Siebenhaar. Also present were Deputy Jimena Senn and Senator Rubén Pirola.
In this context, Minister Enrico commented that “this is very good news for Empalme San Carlos, because for the first time, more than 1,000 residents of the urban area will have access to drinking water. In this first stage, intakes, a reservoir with chlorination and a distribution network with micro-measurement will be built, to substantially improve the quality of life of its residents.”
"The mandate given to us by Governor Maximiliano Pullaro was to clean up the Ministrys debts, make it more transparent and efficient, and reactivate public works. And that is what we are doing by bringing public works to every locality that needs them," said the minister.

Details of work
The work includes the execution of 2 exploitation perforations, 238 meters of impulsion pipe, pumping chambers, automation, elevated reserve tank with a capacity of 60 m3, chlorination system, 7,351 meters of potable water distribution pipe with diameters varying between 63 mm and 90 mm, 7 chambers with sectorizing valves, a water distribution room in drums, 7 hydrants, and construction of dependencies.
