Nestcon Berhad’s subsidiary, Nestcon Solar Sdn. Bhd. has secured a significant contract from Heliosel Sdn. Bhd. for the development of the Selco Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Plant at Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant – Package L5. The Letter of Award (LOA), dated 14 June 2024, was accepted by Nestcon Solar on 20 June 2024, marking a milestone in the company’s expansion in the renewable energy sector. The contract, valued at RM21 million, encompasses the design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning (EPCC) of the Selco Solar PV Plant. The project is slated to commence immediately upon the LOA and is scheduled for completion within seven months. Nestcon Solar will also oversee a defect liability period of twenty-four months from the commercial operation date. Nestcon Solar, based in Kuala Lumpur, specializes in consultancy services and construction related to solar systems. On the other hand, Heliosel, headquartered in Selangor, focuses on developing, owning, and operating green energy assets, aiming to drive net-zero aspirations through innovative solutions. The acceptance of the LOA is anticipated to have a positive impact on Nestcon Berhad’s net assets per share, earnings per share, and gearing throughout the project’s duration. The company reassures stakeholders that it has identified and will mitigate any operational risks associated with the project. This development underscores Nestcon’s commitment to expanding its footprint in sustainable energy solutions, contributing significantly to Malaysia’s green energy landscape. |
