NTPC Limited, a Government of India enterprise, has announced an invitation for bids (IFB) for the selection of solar power generators to set up 1200 MW of Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power projects across India. The tender, identified by IFB No.: NTPC/RE-CS/2024-25/Solar-01, was issued on June 17, 2024, and calls for international competitive bidding.
The process involves a single-stage, two-envelope bidding system, with separate envelopes for technical and financial bids. The reverse auction for the project will be conducted at a later date. The bidding documents are available for download from June 20 to July 4, 2024, on the official e-tender portal, with a pre-bid conference scheduled for July 5, 2024. The deadline for bid submission is July 18, 2024, with technical bids opening on the same day.
To participate, bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 11.6 lakh per MW, along with the required technical and financial documentation. NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids without providing a reason.
Interested bidders need to register with ISN Electronic Tender Services and ensure the purchase of the official bidding documents, which cost INR 22,500. Payment can be made via electronic transfer to NTPC’s specified account. Bidders from countries sharing a land border with India must be registered with the competent authority unless exempted by the Indian government.
For further details, prospective bidders can contact NTPC’s Renewable Energy Contracts Services at their Greater Noida office or via the provided email addresses and phone numbers.
This initiative is part of NTPC’s ongoing efforts to expand renewable energy capacity and support India’s commitment to sustainable energy development. |
