Work Detail US-headquartered equipment maker Bobcat has broken ground on a $300m, 700,000-sq-ft factory in Mexico. The plant will produce select?compact track?and?skid-steer loader?models. It is designed by US-based Shultz + Associates Architects, with Mexico’s GP Construcción, a division of Grupo GP, as construction manager. The factory is in the Salinas Victoria municipality outside Monterrey in the state of Neuvo Leon. It is seeking LEED Silver certification. The factory is expected to create up to 800 jobs and is due to begin operations in 2026. Scott Park, Doosan Bobcat’s chief executive, said: “This new facility will support our long-range plans for increased production to meet customer demand.”
