Work Detail The Agra Development Authority (ADA) is set to start a major infrastructural project with the construction of a logistics hub in Mudhera village, in south-east of Gwalior Road in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The proposal has been approved during its 143rd board meeting, and will be further sent to the government for approval. Once approvals are obtained, the land acquisition process will begin. The project, estimated to cost Rs 570 crore, aims to bring enhancement to the regions logistics and transportation capabilities. It would involve an expenditure as per the rate of Rs 4,000 per sq. mtrs. on land acquisition and Rs 2,500 per sq. mtrs. on development. The sale price of the land is projected to be around Rs 13,000 per sq. mtrs. This investment is expected to decongest city roads by reducing the number of goods trucks passing through them. The logistics hub is slated to be spread across 88 hectares in Mudhera and will be strategically positioned just one km from the proposed townships in Kakua and Bhandai. The projects financial framework allocates Rs 350 crore for land acquisition, and the remaining Rs 220 crore will be used for development works. ADA will purchase land from local farmers based on mutual consent, offering a compensation package four times the current circle rate of Rs 70 lakh per hectare. The hub will be one km from Bhandai railway station and will be accessible via the service road of the Inner Ring Road, and would also enhance the connectivity to major cities of Mathura, Delhi, Jaipur, and Lucknow. The hubs location would ensure quick access to major routes including the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and Jaipur Highway.
