Barrios led the bidding event for new pavement, sidewalks and public lighting works for Quilmes
Bidding event.
The Provincial Organization for Social and Urban Integration (OPISU) carried out the tender for a new public works project to improve the quality of life of the 19,850 inhabitants of Villa Itatí, Quilmes.
The event was led by the executive director, Romina Barrios, where the bidding for the project was carried out, which has an investment of $1,733,848,265. It includes paving work, the construction of sidewalks and the placement of 70 light poles to guarantee public lighting in the neighborhood. This initiative aims to improve access to the neighborhood as well as promote the circulation and connectivity of the families who live there.
Its reach will be around 1,750 meters in length on Pampa streets between Falucho and Levalle, Falucho between Pampa and Misiones, Misiones between Falucho and Ituzaingó, and Ayacucho between Montevideo and Formosa.
During the event, Barrios highlighted the value of continuing to execute public works in the Province under an unfavorable national context where it has been decided to stop this type of projects. “As our governor says, for us each of the works is very important in this context of a National Government that has made the decision to abandon its main tasks. […] We are in full swing because the redevelopment works are perhaps the most important debt that the provincial State has with its municipalities.”
The organization is carrying out a redevelopment plan in the town to guarantee the social, urban and productive integration of the community, therefore, it is essential to improve the conditions of access to the habitat through more and better public works.
