The government of the province of Santa Fe will call for national and international bidding to move forward with the replacement of the service stations on the Rosario – Santa Fe highway. This was learned after it was confirmed that the road connection is once again managed by a trust with the Municipal Bank of Rosario.
In an official activity in the city of Coronda, the Minister of Public Works, Lisandro Enrico – after a consultation from AIRE – referred to the plans that the government has regarding the highway.
Among the priorities, Enrico highlighted that the wells that exist on the asphalt surface will be repaired, starting with the most important or dangerous ones. “In addition,” he added, “we have put together a project to put out to tender the first section of highway lanes and we are going to announce and call for national and international bids to replace the service stations. “The route services are not adequate.”

Regarding the state of the road connection and its administration, the official said that “the highway, as everyone knows, is in poor condition. Lack of management. The management system was a provincial road unit, therefore, among other things, there were delays in purchases," and added: "When we arrived there were three billion pesos immobilized and we believe that they have to be invested in the highway and to pay salaries.”
Regarding the trust, the head of the Public Works portfolio explained that “it allows a more agile figure to contract and be able to make decisions and take the pages funds.” On this point, he specified that seven road repair groups in the province were created, which will be located two in the north, three in the center and two in the south.
.“Road work is very expensive. Of the public works, the road is the most expensive, but with good administration we can gradually put the highway in good condition,” predicted the Minister of Public Works.
On the other hand, Enrico ruled out, for the moment, an increase in the highway toll. “The toll increased in March. Possibly, later there will be an increase but it is not defined,” said Enrico, who, finally, said that in the first stage of work those related to lighting are not included.
