Work Detail In the booming photovoltaic shade market, valued at two billion euros annually, Visionpark is making significant strides with an innovative concrete solution. Marketed in France through its Italian partner Paver, which has successfully installed 3,000 units in Italy, Visionpark’s shades are garnering attention for their robustness and ease of installation. Durable and Adaptable Design Visionpark’s shades, composed of prefabricated concrete monoblocks, are assembled on-site, ensuring quality installation. Each unit, weighing approximately ten tonnes, can cover parking spaces for up to eight vehicles. These structures are highly adaptable, capable of fitting various spaces and functions, and can be decorated or even greened with plant bases. Certified to accommodate all types of photovoltaic panels, the concrete shades offer several advantages over traditional steel structures. Unlike steel, concrete is non-corrosive and highly resistant to weather elements such as wind, snow, ice, and salt, requiring minimal maintenance. Rapid Installation and Cost Efficiency One of the standout features of Visionpark’s product is the rapid installation process. According to Armand Téolis, founder of Visionpark, a 500 kWp installation can be completed in just fifteen days. “The self-ballasted structure does not require any foundation, avoiding the need for extensive civil engineering work,” Téolis explains. This efficiency allows for the installation of 300 to 500 square meters in just 24 hours, with night installations also possible. In contrast to steel structures that demand extensive groundwork and drying periods, Visionpark’s solution ensures minimal disruption, preserving the functionality of parking areas and avoiding potential revenue loss for businesses during installation. Integrated French Technology While the concrete structures are manufactured in Italy, the integration system is entirely French, produced by Hydro in Albi. Visionpark’s modules come pre-fitted with essential components like Halfen-type mounting rails, stainless steel screws, and LED light benches, all integrated into the concrete. The cable trays are also pre-installed within the structures, reducing the risk of damage or theft. Growing Demand and Production Capacity Visionpark’s innovative solution has attracted interest from major retail chains and manufacturers, reflected in a full order book. The company aims to ramp up its production capacity from 50 MW in the current year to between 150 and 200 MW by 2025 to meet the soaring demand for photovoltaic shades. Competitive Pricing Téolis emphasizes the financial advantages of Visionpark’s solution: “Our self-weighted shade structures not only eliminate the need for costly foundations but also prevent the immobilization of parking areas, helping businesses avoid revenue loss during installation.” With its combination of durability, rapid installation, and cost-efficiency, Visionpark’s concrete photovoltaic shades are set to play a significant role in the renewable energy landscape, providing a practical and sustainable solution for various industries.
