Work Detail JSW Cement announced plans on Tuesday to invest approximately ?3,000 crore to establish a 3.30-MTPA clinkerisation unit and a 2.50-MTPA grinding unit in Nagpura district, Rajasthan. The project will also include an 18 MW waste heat recovery-based power plant. The company is also awaiting regulatory approval to acquire 10.75 MTPA from Kesoram Industries, a significant step towards increasing its production capacity. Meanwhile, rival Ambuja-ACC plans to raise its capacity to 140 MTPA by FY28 from the current 79 MTPA, funded through internal accruals. Ambuja-ACC reported cash reserves of ?24,338 crore at the end of FY24.
