The Military Engineer Services (MES) has released a tender for the provision of a rooftop grid-connected solar power plant at the Indian Coast Guard Station (ICGS) in Mundra. The project, estimated to cost ?64 lakhs, is expected to be completed within six months (180 days).
The tender documents are priced at ?1,000 and can be obtained through a demand draft or banker’s cheque from any scheduled bank, payable to AGE (I) Jakhau. Contractors who previously submitted quotes in earlier tender calls are exempt from this fee. The tender process is item-rate based, requiring bidders to quote their rates against each item listed in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
The bid submission deadline is June 14, 2024, at 6:00 PM, with the bid opening scheduled for June 17, 2024, at 12:00 PM.
Eligible contractors include those enlisted with MES in Class ‘C’ with satisfactory performance records and those not enlisted with MES but meeting the enlistment criteria for Class ‘C’ contractors. Unlisted contractors must demonstrate satisfactory completion of relevant works with Central or State Government entities or PSUs and must not carry any adverse remarks. Additionally, all contractors must have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with solar power firms rated by CRISIL, CARE, FITCH, ICRA, SMERA, or Brick Work Ratings India Pvt Ltd, unless they possess the requisite rating themselves.
The contractor or associated solar power firm must have completed similar solar power plant projects in government departments, PSUs, or public institutions within the last seven years, with specific capacity requirements outlined. The project cannot be sublet to third parties, except under specific conditions detailed in the Notice Inviting Tender (NIT).
The Chief Engineer (CG) Goa is the issuing and accepting officer for this tender, and the project will be executed by AGE (I) Jakhau. An earnest money deposit of ?1,21,000 is required. |
