The Buenos Aires Government called for public bidding, through the state company Subterráneos de Buenos Aires (SBASE), to repair four subway stations, including Pueyrredón on Line B, located in Corrientes and Pueyrrdón, in the Once commercial area. from the Balvanera neighborhood. The GCBA had renewed it in 2015.
The company that is elected on May 27 will receive an initial official budget of $6,517,861,730. It will have at least six months to complete the works.
The other three stations are: Lima (Line A), Scalabrini Ortiz (Line D) and Palermo (Line D).
The previous management had announced a plan in 2022 to restore about 20 stations. He has already done work in Urquiza (Line E), Castro Barros (Line A), among others.
This plan included the Carlos Gardel station on Line B, located in Corrientes and Agüero, in the Abasto area.
Due to this same plan, the Pasteur-AMIA station on Line B, located in Pasteur and Corrientes, also in Once, has been closed since April.
In 2015, at the initiative of SBASE, at the Pueyrredón station the artist Mapi de Aubeyzon installed colorful murals on the platforms. In addition, there was a change of signage and the placement of new lights.
