TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS), one of Indias leading integrated supply chain solutions providers, has won a new business contract from VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) to manage in-plant warehousing and logistics at Eichers bus manufacturing facility in Baggad, Madhya Pradesh. The deal, set to last for three years, marks a significant extension of the long-standing partnership between TVS SCS and VECV. VECV, a major player in Indias commercial vehicle industry, has collaborated with TVS SCS since 2006 for in-plant logistics at its truck plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. This new contract expands their collaboration to include Eichers bus plant operations in Baggad, reinforcing the strategic relationship between the two companies. Over the course of this two-decade partnership, more than 1,200 job opportunities have been created in Madhya Pradesh. As part of the contract, TVS SCS will handle in-plant logistics services at the Baggad bus plant, focusing on ensuring timely receipt of parts, efficient storage, and picking of components from designated locations based on the Production Planning Control (PPC) teams schedule. The logistics provider will also be responsible for delivering parts to specific assembly lines according to the Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring a steady flow of materials to maintain production line efficiency. This new partnership represents an important step in reinforcing the operational stability of VECVs bus facility, while also demonstrating TVS SCSs commitment to providing high-quality logistics solutions in Indias growing commercial vehicle sector. |
