Work Detail Aston Martin has announced the completion of a 249m-tall residential tower in downtown Miami. The sail-shaped building was designed by the car-maker, along with Rodolfo Miani of Argentine architect Bodas Mian Anger, and developed in association with real estate company G&G Business Developments. Located on the Miami River and Biscayne Bay, the project contains 391 apartments. The amenities include a two-floor fitness centre, two-screen cinema, an art gallery, a golf simulator, business centre, conference space, spa, barber shop and an outdoor pool on a cantilevered deck. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s chief creative officer, said: “Our design language is based on beauty and the honesty and authenticity of materials. Aston Martin Residences Miami is for people who appreciate the finest quality and craftsmanship, who love the feeling of something that is timeless. In this, our first residential building development, the interiors are quintessentially Aston Martin.” Aston Martin says 99% of the flats in the building have been sold. One in eight homeowners in the building already owns an Aston Martin. The plot was sold for $100m an acre in 2014, the last undeveloped piece of land on Miami’s waterfront, according to the Miami New Times.
