The specialist roles will be across their Bristol, Aberdeen and Edinburgh offices Rovco and Vaarst are to recruit over 150 specialist roles across Bristol, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh offices in the UK by the end of 2025. The influx of talent will support the companies growth and development of high-tech solutions using AI, automation, and machine learning to help speed the energy transition and keep offshore wind competitive, said the companies. 50 of the roles will sit within Rovocs sister company Vaarst, launched in 2021 The specialist tech roles available in the Bristol headquarters are in areas such as machine learning, computer vision autonomy, data, AI, and robotics software engineering. These will be at the cutting edge of innovation in the green subsea industry and accelerating the energy transition, Rovco said. Over 100 roles will be available with the company in Scotland, focused in its hydrographic division, which spans wind farm planning surveys, seabed mapping, and UXO (unexploded ordnance) surveys. Rovco will be recruiting across several areas, including survey, engineering, data processing, and project management. Most roles will be onshore and based in Aberdeen, at the mid-senior level positions, with openings also available at the company’s Edinburgh office. High-tech solutions will both support existing jobs in the sector and create new ones, all while reducing operational timelines and costs. This recruitment drive is part of Rovco and Vaarst’s broader plans for global expansion. The companies have already hired nearly 30 new roles across their Bristol and Aberdeen offices in the first few months of 2024. By the end of 2025, they aim to have hired for around 200 new positions globally, including 25 in the US to support recent agreements with the likes of industry giant Orsted, and 10 in Asia. Several new offices will also be opening across European and Asian markets. |
