In a bid to embrace sustainable practices, Nibong Tebal Paper Mill Sdn Bhd (NTPM) has partnered with Solarvest Holdings Bhd to implement an additional 8.9MWp solar project. This initiative, valued at RM27 million, aims to power NTPM’s facilities across Nibong Tebal, Penang, and Parit Buntar, Perak, effectively reducing carbon emissions and aligning with national greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting requirements.
The fully operational solar project, which commenced on December 31, 2023, signifies NTPM’s commitment to building sustainability into its operations. Recognized for producing household products such as PREMIER tissue and eco-friendly CUTIE COMPACT tissue, NTPM has actively promoted the use of recycled paper through awareness campaigns.
