It will function as an annex to the “José María Vionnet” Geriatric Hospital. It will have offices, nursing, dentistry, kitchen, and outdoor spaces. The work was paralyzed and the province reactivated it by investing more than $600 million to complete it.
The Government of the Province of Santa Fe completed the public tender to carry out the works that will complete the Pilar Hospital. The opening of envelopes with economic offers took place at the Government House and was led by the Minister of Health, Silvia Ciancio, together with the Secretary of Public Works, Marcelo Pascualón. The building will function as an annex to the “José María Vionnet” Geriatric Hospital and will have new offices, nursing, dentistry, kitchen and outdoor spaces. There were 4 bidders for this work that was paralyzed and they were able to reactivate it between Governor Maximiliano Pullaro and the Minister of Public Works, Lisandro Enrico.
Strengthen public health
“We are very happy with this work for Pilar,” said Minister Ciancio. “We and the Health team had the opportunity to visit the town after 100 days of Maximiliano Pullaros government with the firm decision to restore and finish works that had been started. This project represents for the town of Pilar and for the region an important advance in the construction of a primary care center that reinforces the care network and, above all, thinking about the comfort needed by the health team, as well as the system users. Then, Ciancio remarked: “In addition, we have to highlight that Pilar has the second most important hospital in terms of caring for older adults. With this work, we are going to revalue outpatient care and, of course, we will prioritize the current building in which great work is done and geriatric care will continue.”
The work
For his part, Pascualón explained that “the work has about 2,000 m2; with a ground floor, independent access hall, offices, observation room, infirmary, shock room, medical and public circulation, bathrooms for the public and disabled people, X-ray room, pharmacy and a bedroom for doctors on duty, with toilets included. In addition, it includes an ambulance parking space with direct access to the guard and the shock room.”
Likewise, he reported that the building will incorporate photovoltaic panels on its roof for sustainable use of energy and solar hot water tanks for hot water service. Likewise, new public sidewalks will be built with bicycle parking and exterior LED lighting. The new works include the execution of sections of the Medium Voltage Overhead Line, Low Voltage Overhead Line and the installation of a 315 KVA transformer.
More works in the province
In turn, Pascualón stressed: “We found the Hospital work terminated as soon as we entered the Government. Since the previous administration it had been paralyzed, that is why we carried out all possible efforts to reach this bidding stage and be able to complete the work. This progress is a firm decision by Governor Pullaro and Minister Enrico, who asked us to reactivate the paralyzed works and plan new ones in our province.”
Thanks to the provincial government
For his part, the communal president of Pilar, Carlos Martínez, said that “it is a pride to be able to count on this work. We are very grateful to the provincial authorities, to the government of Maximiliano Pullaro and to the ministers of Public Works and Health. It will help us decompress the functions in the current geriatric hospital, to organize, on the one hand, the care of older adults and, on the other hand, a new space for primary care. “People are very happy and eager to finish this work.”
Finally, the president of Samco, Adrián Imhoff, remarked: “This is very important for the entire region. It is a long-awaited work because, in addition, we serve people from other locations. It should be noted that this Samco is the second largest in the province, it has more than 90 boarding schools and represents a lot for the region.” |
