On April 23rd, the 2nd International Financial and Frontier Technology Forum and General Assembly of the New Energy International Investment Alliance (NEIIA) was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the theme of “Dual Carbon Empowerment, Zero Carbon Future”. The event was hosted by China Energy Construction International Group and co-organized by New Energy International Investment Alliance and LONGi Green Energy Technology Co. The conference gathered many guests from Chinese and Saudi government departments, industry associations, leading enterprises and financial institutions to jointly discuss the development trends and future prospects of the new energy industry, explore development of China’s new energy industry chain going overseas and high-quality “going out” cooperation, injecting new impetus to promote the global energy transformation.
Mr. James Jin, President of LONGi Middle East, Africa & Central Asia (MEA&CA), attended the forum and delivered a speech. He said, guided by the “Belt and Road” initiative and Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision, LONGi Green Energy has participated in the construction of 406MW PV power plant in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project with “Green Power” + “Green Hydrogen” products and solutions.
LONGi has participated in the construction of the 406MW photovoltaic power plant in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project, the 400MW photovoltaic power plant in Saudi Arabia’s Rabigh, and the Phase I and Phase II 2GW photovoltaic power plants in NEOM, which have contributed to the energy transformation and zero-carbon development in the region. The company and CECC will work together to promote strategic docking and industrial synergy to make positive contributions to the construction of the “Belt and Road” and industrial development!
Mr. He Song, Vice President of LONGi China’s Regional Department, delivered a keynote speech, “Thinking about the development of PV industry under the global perspective”, where he mentioned that LONGi is committed to the development of the PV industry.
He Song, went on to say that LONGi continues to practice green transformation, contributing to the transformational development of the world’s dual-carbon goal. The company focuses on new quality product, adheres to science and technology leadership and innovation drive, and promotes the high-quality development of the PV industry. The conversion efficiency of LONGi’s mass-junction solar cells reached 27.09%, and the efficiency of crystalline silicon-calcite stacked cells created reached 33.9%, both of which are the highest in the world.
In the round-table high-end dialog session, Cheng Shichao, Head of Product & Solutions of LONGi MEA&CA along with Liu Chunxiang, Chief in Charge of the Middle East Representative Office, shared LONGi’s “Green Power + Green Hydrogen” solution and how it can link upstream and downstream of the industry chain through high-efficiency production, to continuously promote the high-quality development of the new energy industry.
On April 24, members of the delegation of the New Energy International Investment Alliance went to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to visit the 400MW PV power plant in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, which is supplied with PV modules by LONGi, and conducted in-depth discussions on the product advantages of LONGi’s PV modules.
The New Energy International Investment Alliance is the first organization in the field of China’s new energy investment and cooperation, covering project investment incubation, consulting and designing, engineering construction, financing and insurance, as well as the development of new energy projects.
Since its establishment in August 2018, under the guidance of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the Bureau of Energy (BEA), China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCMEP), the Alliance has been responding positively to the development initiative of building a “Belt and Road”, promoting the use of clean and green means to meet the global demand for electricity.
As a member of the New Energy Alliance, LONGi has been supporting the development of the New Energy International Investment Alliance.
On September 8, 2023, the Second Business Exchange Conference of the Second New Energy International Investment Alliance was held in Xi’an, China, hosted by LONGi, which achieved fruitful results. LONGi, continues to work with regional governments and China Energy Construction Corporation (CECC) in overseas markets. The 1GW photovoltaic project in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan is a benchmark case, showing how the Alliance is working together to go out and build a new win win pattern of mutually beneficial cooperation. |
