More than 500 schools intervened so far in 2024
So far in 2024, the Undersecretary of School Infrastructure has already carried out repairs in more than 500 schools in the province, with the aim of maintaining the building status of educational properties.
A large portion of these interventions were made prior to the beginning of the school year and the rest until now. 25% of the jobs exceeded $10 million each and the other 75% were arrangements that required less investment.
Thus, these days, School Infrastructure has invested almost $2.5 billion in repairs to school buildings. These interventions covered problems such as roof leaks, and electrical systems, sewage installations and sanitary connections, among other arrangements.
These repairs are part of an intervention plan for more than 1,000 schools throughout the province, with the aim of improving their building conditions for the course of the school year and with a view to 2025, both structurally and in terms of to heating system installations.
All of the works that will be carried out during 2024 are carried out through zonal impact coefficients. The investment of $13,000 million is being financed entirely with provincial funds. More than 400 thousand students from different educational levels throughout the province will benefit from the work. |
