Within the framework of the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER), the contract will serve to supply green energy to the Bayer plants in Pilar for 7 years, starting next May 1.
The Argentine energy company Genneia and the countrys subsidiary of the German pharmaceutical company Bayer have agreed on a contract for the provision of renewable energy to production plants in the town of Pilar, province of Buenos Aires, which will cover 50% of their operations.
In a statement, it is explained that the agreement is part of the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER), and establishes a contract for the provision of green energy for plants 1, which covers the production of analgesics and hormones, and 2, which concentrates the manufacturing of vitamin products, for a period of 7 years.
The provision of renewable energy, which will be supplied from a pool of Genneia assets, made up of wind and solar parks, will begin on May 1.
“Thanks to this long-term agreement, 75% of our energy consumption will come from renewable sources, moving decisively toward our goal of 100% green energy in the short term,” said the director of the Bayer plant in Pilar, Daniel Bettinelli. .
Just yesterday, it was learned that Genneia had received authorization from the Ministry of Energy to begin commercial operation of the 100 MW Los Molles solar plant , located in the province of Mendoza.
Last February, Genneia put the 60 MW Tocota III solar park into operation in the province of San Juan , with which the company claims to exceed 1 GW of installed capacity, from a portfolio now made up of four solar parks and seven wind. |
