The BNDES has launched a public notice for the concession of visitation services for four urban parks in Recife, Brazil.
Block A consists of Jaqueira, Santana, and Apipucos parks, while Block B comprises Dona Lindu Park. The division into two blocks is aimed at enhancing the unique characteristics of each park and attracting additional investments to enhance infrastructure and conservation efforts.
Jaqueira Park, an urban landmark in Recife, spans an area of 71,552 m2 and holds the potential to offer recreational activities for both local families and tourists.
Santana Park, covering 60,175 m2, focuses on sports-related activities, serving as a hub for the community to engage in healthy sporting practices.
Recently renovated, Apipucos Park features amenities such as a childrens playground, picnic area, and parking facilities, alongside its ecological features, including lush vegetation and proximity to the Apipucos Lagoon/Reservoir.
On the other hand, Dona Lindu Park, situated in Block B, showcases architectural beauty crafted by Oscar Niemeyer and holds significant potential for cultural events and discussions on sustainability.
The selected recipient will be tasked with facilitating visitation, maintenance, and enhancement of services, as well as implementing conservation and protection measures. The announcement also outlines investments totaling approximately BRL 49 million (US$ 9.6 million) over six years for enhancements to leisure infrastructure and facilities across various areas. Additionally, investments of about BRL 363 million (US$ 71.7 million) are earmarked for the operation and management of the parks. |
