The South Eastern Railway (SER) has issued a tender for upgradation of electric traction system on Howrah-Kharagpur section of Kharagpur division in West Bengal.
The scope of work includes design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning for upgradation of electric traction system from 1x25 kV to 2x25 kV traction system on the section to meet the 3,000 MT loading target. The electrification work is to be completed in 18 months.
The contract is valued at Rs 129.06 crore.
